Precision Investment Casting Manufacturer in India

Rainbow Technocast is an investment casting manufacturer in India serving industrial customers that need precise, repeatable metal components and dependable production support. From our manufacturing base in Rajkot, Gujarat, we produce ferrous and non-ferrous investment castings and provide machining capabilities for customers in India and international markets.

Our group operates three foundries and two machining shops, with more than 20 years of manufacturing experience, 500+ employees and thousands of developed parts. This integrated setup helps customers move from component development to cast, machined and inspected parts through a single manufacturing partner.

Investment Casting Capabilities

Investment casting, also called lost-wax casting, is suited to components with complex geometry, fine detail and demanding surface-finish requirements. A wax pattern is assembled, coated with ceramic material and dewaxed to create a precise shell. Molten metal is then poured into the shell, followed by controlled finishing, heat treatment, machining and inspection as required.

Rainbow Technocast manufactures components from approximately 50 grams up to 140 kilograms per piece. Our in-house capabilities include die design, wax-pattern production, ceramic-shell processing, induction melting, heat treatment, fettling, machining and quality inspection. Materials We Cast

Material selection depends on operating temperature, corrosion exposure, pressure, mechanical loading and industry standards. Our material range includes:

  • Carbon steels and low-alloy steels
  • Martensitic and austenitic stainless steels
  • Duplex and super-duplex stainless steels
  • Hastelloy and nickel-based alloys
  • Inconel and Monel grades
  • Copper alloys and other application-specific materials

Our engineering team can review drawings, material specifications and service conditions before quotation to help confirm whether investment casting is the appropriate process for the component.

Industries and Investment-Cast Components

We manufacture investment castings for a broad range of industrial applications, including:

  • Ball valve, butterfly valve, gate valve, globe valve and check valve components
  • Pump castings and pump parts
  • Cam, groove and pipe-fitting components
  • Food-processing equipment components
  • Fire-fighting and electrical earthing equipment
  • Power-generation, defence, automotive, textile and machine-tool applications
  • Surgical and general-engineering components

See the markets and component families covered on our applications page.

Why Choose Rainbow Technocast?

Complex Shapes and Consistent Detail

Investment casting can produce detailed profiles, holes, lettering, slots and internal or external geometry that may be difficult to achieve economically with other casting methods. Near-net-shape production can also reduce material waste and secondary machining.

Machining and Inspection Support

Our casting and machining capabilities allow customers to source unfinished or machined components according to drawing requirements. Inspection resources include spectrometers, hardness testing, universal testing, dimensional inspection and in-house non-destructive testing capabilities. Visit our testing and quality page for more information.

Certified Manufacturing Systems

Rainbow Technocast maintains certifications and approvals supporting regulated and quality-sensitive industries, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, API 20-A, PED 2014/68/EU, AD 2000-Merkblatt W0, NORSOK M-650, Indian Boiler Regulations and Lloyd’s Register requirements.

Capacity for Long-Term Supply

Our group production capacity is approximately 3,250 metric tonnes per year. Multiple foundries and machining shops provide the infrastructure needed for new-part development, repeat production and long-term supply programs.

Investment Casting Process

  1. Drawing and feasibility review: We review geometry, alloy, tolerances, inspection requirements and annual demand.
  2. Tooling and wax patterns: Tooling is developed and wax patterns are produced for repeatable dimensional control.
  3. Shell building: Pattern assemblies receive controlled ceramic coatings to form the casting shell.
  4. Dewaxing and melting: Wax is removed, the shell is prepared and the specified alloy is melted under controlled conditions.
  5. Pouring and finishing: Metal is poured, cooled and separated before fettling and finishing.
  6. Heat treatment and machining: Components are processed according to material and drawing requirements.
  7. Inspection and documentation: Dimensional, mechanical, chemical and non-destructive tests are completed as specified.
